LGBT+ Youth Clubs

It is important to us that all of our youth clubs and services are Inclusive, this means that as well as young people that identify as LGBT+ or are questioning, we also welcome allies to come along too.

For many LGBT+ young people, these youth groups provide vital support, confidence building and an opportunity to meet other LGBT young people in a fun, non judgemental safe space. All of our youth clubs are youth led meaning that young people choose how they spend their time during our groups, Main activities can include anything from crafts, games, quizzes, team building exercises etc..  dependant on what the young people want to do.

During our youth clubs we also regularly provide information/ resources on various topics such as on consent, staying healthy, mental health etc.. we occasionally invite guests from different services to join in our youth clubs such as Sexual Health Matters, Fire Fighters and the Police. The friendly feel of the groups allow for discussions to open up about any issues the young people are experiencing or worried about, such as bullying, coming out, relationships etc and we can adapt planning to the needs of the young people.

Everyone who is involved with Collective Revolution are volunteers, we carry out DBS checks for all volunteers and ensure they come back before anyone starts volunteering with us. Each group also has a designated safeguard lead (DSL) who has completed there level 3 in safeguarding, all of our volunteers have access to additional training through us, or through external partners this includes training on health and safety, first aid, mental health first aid, body image, plus LGBT+ specific training.
